The Christian Keerthanai Festival 2025, organised by the Keerthanaiyin Mahimai Trust, began with an inspiring display of faith and music at the CSI Christ Church campus on Trichy Road, Coimbatore.
The Keerthanaiyin Mahimai Trust, based in Coimbatore, is dedicated to reviving and promoting traditional Christian Keerthanas performed in South Indian Churches. The Trust provides structured training in Carnatic ragas, talas, and devotional compositions, bridging the worlds of Classical music and Christian worship.
The festival was inaugurated by Leema Rose Martin, Managing Trustee of the Martin Foundation and Director of the Martin Group, who attended as the chief guest. A special Souvenir release ceremony marked the formal opening of the celebration.
Choirs and devotional music troupes from Coimbatore and neighbouring districts filled the venue with soul-stirring Christian Keerthanas, combining deep spirituality with the elegance of Carnatic tradition. Speaking at the event, organisers said the Christian Keerthanai Festival aims to encourage young musicians to learn and preserve the art of Christian Carnatic music — a cultural expression that unites faith, tradition, and artistry in harmony.
