A Class I student from Coimbatore has created a record by winning three gold medals at the National-level Roller Skating championships, bringing pride to his school and the city.
Hem Krish, a first-grade student of GD School, clinched gold medals in the 100-metre road race, 200-metre ring race and 200-metre relay race at the SSFI National Roller Skating Championships. The competition was held at Nehru Stadium in
Chennai.
The young skater’s remarkable performance at the national meet has also earned him selection for an upcoming international skating competition, marking a significant milestone at such an early age.
On his return to Coimbatore after the championships, Hem Krish received a warm and enthusiastic welcome. The school principal, teachers, parents and members of the public congratulated the student for his exceptional achievement and praised his dedication and discipline.
School authorities said the achievement reflects the institution’s encouragement of sports alongside academics and expressed confidence that Hem Krish would continue to excel in future competitions, including at the international level.
