With campaigning for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections set to conclude on April 21, 2026, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin intensified his final phase outreach in Chennai.
Campaigning in support of DMK candidate and Minister M. Subramanian in the Saidapet Assembly constituency, M. K. Stalin travelled in an auto-rickshaw and interacted with the public.
He also distributed sugarcane juice to people during the campaign, drawing attention amid the intense summer heat.
Political leaders across parties carried out vigorous campaigning on the final day, making a last push to reach voters before the mandatory silence period begins.
Polling for the Assembly elections will be held in a single phase on April 23 across 234 constituencies, with 4,023 candidates in the fray.
According to official data, over 5.73 crore voters are eligible to cast their votes. A total of 75,064 polling booths and 41 counting centres have been set up across the State. Counting of votes is scheduled to take place on May 4.
