Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Wednesday inaugurated the Muthamizharignar Kalaignar Arangam built at a cost of Rs.63 crore at Presidency College in Chennai.
Constructed by the Higher Education Department, the new auditorium has been established to support academic events, seminars and cultural programmes at the historic college.
During the function, the Chief Minister also distributed laptops to students of Presidency College as part of the State government’s initiative to enhance digital learning among college students.
He also inaugurated a special hostel building constructed for differently-abled students on the college campus to improve accessibility and support facilities for them.
Higher Education Department officials, faculty members and students participated in the event.
