Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Sunday visited PMK founder Dr. S. Ramadoss at Apollo Hospitals, Greenways Road, and inquired about his health condition. The senior leader was admitted on October 5 for a detailed cardiac evaluation, including an angiogram.
Sources at the hospital said Dr. Ramadoss was admitted after experiencing mild discomfort and has since been under the care of senior interventional cardiologist Dr. G. Sengottuvelu. His condition is stable, and he is expected to be discharged within two days.
Earlier in the day, PMK President Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss, son of Dr. Ramadoss, met with the medical team treating his father. Speaking to reporters, Anbumani said, “My father underwent an angiogram, and doctors have confirmed there are no blockages in the coronary arteries. His condition is stable, and he has been advised two days of rest. Since he was in the ICU for observation, I could not meet him directly.”
Later in the afternoon, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin personally visited the hospital and met Dr. Ramadoss. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Stalin wrote, “I met respected Dr. S. Ramadoss, a senior political leader of Tamil Nadu, and inquired about his health. I wish him a speedy recovery and an early return to public service.”
Meanwhile, several political leaders, including AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami, BJP State President Nainar Nagenthran, and Naam Tamilar Katchi Chief Seeman, also visited the hospital and conveyed their best wishes for the PMK founder’s recovery.
In an official statement, Dr. B. G. Anil, Director of Medical Services at Apollo Hospitals, confirmed that Dr. Ramadoss’s health parameters are stable and that he continues to respond well to treatment.
