Chief Minister M.K. Stalin undertook a walk through Sirkazhi in Mayiladuthurai district on Monday as part of his campaign for the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly General Elections 2026, seeking public support for MDMK candidate Senthil Selvan, contesting from the Sirkazhi constituency as part of the DMK-led alliance.
During the visit, Stalin interacted with traders and members of the public at the Sirkazhi market, appealing to them to cast their votes in favour of the Udayasuriyan symbol representing the DMK alliance.
The Chief Minister covered a stretch from the Thittaya Road Farmers Market to the new bus stand on Kachcheri Road, engaging with people along the route and canvassing votes.
Residents gathered in large numbers during the walk, with many seen greeting Stalin, shaking hands and taking selfies as he moved through the town.
The campaign drew significant public attention, reflecting heightened political activity in the constituency ahead of the April 23 polls.
