Chief Minister Vijay on Friday extended his Teachers’ Day greetings to teachers across the State, praising their selfless dedication towards shaping the future of students.
In a message marking Teachers’ Day, Vijay recalled the contribution of former President of India and eminent educationist Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary is observed as Teachers’ Day.
He said teachers illuminate the minds of students with knowledge and instil values such as discipline, humanity, brotherhood and social responsibility. They also encourage students to pursue their dreams, guide their talents and lay a strong foundation for their future, he said.
Vijay called upon people to recognise and appreciate the great service rendered by teachers, who play an important role not only in the growth of the nation but also in overall social progress.
He expressed hope that the selfless dedication and guidance of teachers would make the future of students brighter.
