The Coimbatore District Veterans Above-65 Cricket Team defeated the Salem District Veterans Above-65 Cricket Team in a 25-over match held at the SNR Grounds in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore scored 162 runs for the loss of six wickets in 25 overs, while Salem managed 132 runs for nine wickets in its allotted 25 overs.
Coimbatore emerged victorious in the match, which featured experienced cricketers, including players who have represented Tamil Nadu. Three members of the Coimbatore team have also represented India in over-65 matches abroad.
The match was organised by D. Lakshminarayanaswami, President, Coimbatore District Cricket Association, and Gurusami, Head Coach.
Coimbatore team captain P. R. Ramakrishnan received the trophy from D. Lakshminarayanaswami, President, Coimbatore District Cricket Association.
S. Natarajan was also associated with the event.
