College day celebrated with Grandeur at PSGR Krishnammal College

PSGR Krishnammal College for Women celebrated its College Day 2026 with enthusiasm at the PSGRKCW Alumni Golden Jubilee Auditorium on Wednesday.
The programme began with a prayer, followed by the welcome address delivered by R. Nandini, Chairperson of the institution, who greeted the chief guest, faculty and students.
P. B. Harathi, Principal, presented the annual report outlining the college’s academic achievements, research initiatives, extension activities and overall progress.
She reiterated the institution’s focus on academic excellence, innovation and holistic student development.


Archana Ramanakumar, Senior Vice President and Head of Industry Solutions Group and Centre Head, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Chennai, delivered the keynote address.
She highlighted the importance of making clear career choices and adapting to the rapidly evolving IT sector.
Emphasising the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence, she urged students to view challenges as opportunities for innovation.


She also stressed the need for strong industry-academia collaboration and effective communication skills for professional success. The event featured the release of the college magazine and newsletters, showcasing academic and creative contributions of students and faculty. Management awards, Best Outgoing Student honours by the Alumni Association, and recognitions for Best Faculty and Best Department were presented.
Aiko Joyson, President of the Students’ Forum, delivered the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
The celebration reflected the institution’s commitment to shaping confident, skilled and socially responsible women.
