Stand-up comedian Anudeep Kadigala has been arrested by the Andhra Pradesh Police for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party founder Pawan Kalyan and actor Ram Charan.
According to police sources, Anudeep was detained in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, where he had gone to visit his parents.

The case was registered based on a complaint filed by Jana Sena Party member Pate Venkata Krishna, who alleged that the comedian’s remarks were defamatory and obscene.
Police have booked Anudeep under relevant sections pertaining to defamation and publication of objectionable content.
