The Department of History, PSGR Krishnammal College for Women and Economics, in association with Veranda Race Learning Solutions, conducted a comprehensive mock test on February 24 for students preparing for competitive examinations.
A total of 84 students from various departments, including History, Economics, Physics, Psychology and Zoology, participated in the initiative aimed at providing practical exposure to the pattern and rigour of national and state-level civil service examinations.
The three-hour examination comprised 200 objective-type questions and was administered using Optical Mark Recognition sheets.
The test was designed to replicate the actual examination environment of the Union Public Service Commission and the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, enabling students to strengthen time management skills, improve accuracy and adopt effective answering strategies under real-time conditions.
Faculty members and coordinators ensured the smooth conduct of the examination. Representatives from Veranda Race Learning Solutions interacted with the participants and emphasised the importance of consistent mock practice in enhancing performance and
confidence.
The programme offered aspirants an opportunity to assess their strengths and identify areas for improvement in a competitive setting. The successful conduct of the mock test underscores PSGR Krishnammal College for Women’s continued commitment to academic excellence and career preparedness for aspiring civil servants.
