Confusion in AIADMK – BJP alliance?

With the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu due within the next four months, many political parties have stepped up their election campaigns, both directly and indirectly. The Election Commission has also begun its work.
As the general committee meeting of the Tamil Nadu opposition party AIADMK has recently concluded, it has been announced that those who want to contest the elections on behalf of the party can file their nomination papers. The Congress party has also started receiving nomination papers. Similarly, Anbumani has announced that the PMK can also submit nomination papers from the 14th. Furthermore, some parties in the DMK alliance are also expected to start distributing nomination papers from December 20th.
Regardless of the election, political parties usually receive petitions before deciding on an alliance. Through this, the parties can share certain information with the alliance parties in a subtle manner.
As far as the DMK-led alliance is concerned, it has been confirmed. There is no possibility of any change in this. AIADMK & BJP are facing the elections in an alliance. PMK and DMDK are yet to announce their alliance decision.
In this situation, the BJP is continuously trying to unify the AIADMK, as the split in the AIADMK will affect the votes that the National Democratic Alliance will receive.
OPS left the BJP alliance, saying he did not get recognition. Following him, TTV Dinakaran left. While talks were underway to bring them back into the alliance, former AIADMK minister K.A. Sengottaiyan left the AIADMK and joined the TVK.
The BJP, which does not want OPS and TTV Dinakaran to side with each other like Sengottaiyan, is devising various strategies to bring them into the alliance. A few days ago, OPS, who was camping in Delhi, met Amit Shah. It was said that discussions were held about joining the alliance. Following that, former BJP state president Annamalai visited Delhi twice and met Amit Shah.
At that time, it seems that the alliance, OPS, and TTV Dinakaran issue were discussed. Also, since Amit Shah is coming to Tamil Nadu soon, the BJP is planning to hold talks with the alliance parties and be ready, and to officially announce the alliance during Amit Shah’s visit.
In this situation, the AIADMK general committee and executive committee meeting was held the day before yesterday at Vanagaram, near Chennai. In this general committee meeting, a resolution was passed that the party’s general secretary Palaniswami alone has the full authority to decide on the parties participating in the AIADMK-led alliance.
Due to this, doubts have arisen as to whether OPS and TTV Dinakaran will be included in the alliance. In this situation, BJP state president Nainar Nagendran will go to Delhi on the 14th and meet Amit Shah. He is going to talk about the alliance then. He is also going to discuss Amit Shah’s visit to Tamil Nadu.
Meanwhile, BJP state president Nainar Nagendran met AIADMK general secretary Palaniswami at his residence yesterday. At that time, they discussed the possibility of including new parties in the alliance. But it has been revealed that Edappadi Palaniswami is firm in his stance that he will not agree to bring OPS and TTV Dinakaran into their alliance.
So, what is happening in the AIADMK & BJP alliance…? Has the BJP’s attempt to include OPS, TTV.Dinakaran in the alliance failed? It is up to Edappadi Palaniswami to accept or reject it. Will he bow down if BJP puts pressure on him? Will PMK and DMDK join this alliance?
The AIADMK-BJP-TVK alliances will take some time to finally form. Anyway, the alliances will be formed by January. The Tamil Nadu election field, which is already hot, will start to heat up even more then!
