C.R.I. Pumps has contributed Rs 50 lakh towards the construction of an international standard swimming pool at VOC Park in Coimbatore city under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
The cheque was handed over by G. Selvaraj, Managing Director of C.R.I. Pumps and President of the Coimbatore District Basketball Association, to M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran, IAS, Commissioner of the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation. The facility will come up at Ward No. 83 and the project will be executed by the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation. The proposed swimming pool is expected to significantly strengthen sports infrastructure in the city.
The initiative is set to benefit school and college students, budding sports persons and the general public by providing access to a modern, international-standard aquatic facility. C.R.I. Pumps said the contribution reflects its continued commitment to promoting sports and community development in Coimbatore.
