The 28th Church Dedication Anniversary worship service and Asanam Feast of the CSI Christ Church on Coimbatore-Trichy Road were held on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
Rev. Rajasekar Chairman of the TVS-Nagar Church, participated as the special speaker and shared the word of God with the congregation.
More than 25,000 people participated in the Asanam feast. A large number of church members from across Coimbatore district attended the event. Reverends from several churches, members of the Diocesan Council, police officials and government department officials also participated.
Volunteers from the church made arrangements to serve food to the large gathering. Around 2,500 tiffin carriers were distributed to church members who were unable to attend the feast in person. Food was also provided free of cost to around 3,000 people who had not obtained carrier tokens and brought their own vessels.
The church Committee said food was served to more than 40,000 people during the day. Around 24 dining batches were organised, with food being served without shortage or any untoward incident.
The Pastorate Committee thanked all members who participated in the arrangements and those who contributed offertory and materials towards the Asanam feast.
Church Chairman Rev. T. K. Stephen Raj Ebenezer, Rev. S. Santhakumar, Rev. M. Abraham, Church Secretary J. A. Paramanandam, Church Treasurer A. Arun Anandaraj and Asanam Convener G. Alwyn conveyed their greetings and gratitude to all participants and supporters. The church also extended its blessings to all those who contributed towards the feast.
