In a protest demonstration led by Dravidar Ezhuchi Kazhagam president Sakthiventhan, it was urged that “EVM is a tool that destroys the trust in democracy” and that it should be completely banned and the ballot system should be implemented again.
Representatives of the Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (MMK) participated in the event and registered a strong condemnation for the protection of the people’s voting rights and the transparent election process.
In the event, MMK district President A. Siddique, administrators Muhammad Larif, Sakul Hameedu, Auto Sakul Hameedu, Sikandar, Tamil Puligal Katchi Secretary Chinthanai Selvan, former councilor Vinayagamoorthy, and Ratnaswamy delivered speeches.
