Demand to upgrade the Corporation Middle School to High School

Many parents have pleaded to upgrade the the Erode Corporation School in Erode Thirunagar Colony to a high school.
Two new classrooms have been built in this school at a cost of Rs 30 lakh under the funds of former MLA and Union Minister Late EVKS Elangovan MLA.
It was inaugurated by Housing Minister Su Muthusamy in the presence of the School Parent Teacher Association President and Erode Corporation Zone One President P.K. Palaniswami.
Palaniswami said: This school was established in 1947. Currently, 300 children are studying.
A fund of Rs one lakh has been paid to the government to upgrade the school.
We hope that the government will take steps to upgrade the school to a high school next year.
Many poor students study here.
The corporation has provided a state-of-the-art computer laboratory with 10 computers to improve their computer knowledge.
The state government has provided software for this.
Through online school education department officials have also been made available to contact the students here while they are in Chennai.
Computer-related subjects are fully included in this. Also, practice subjects for competitive exams like NEET JEE are also available in the computer. Computer-related books will be provided to the students soon.
Computer training is being provided to students from class VI onwards by a teacher.
2 smart boards with one AC class room have already been provided to the school.
One of the smart boards is broken. Steps are being taken to replace it.
English, Tamil, Mathematics and Science clubs have been formed to improve individual skills.
A separate club has also been formed to improve artistic skills.
Through this, individual skills such as singing and dancing are being provided.
A student won the National Aptitude Test competition. The Central Government will provide her with a monthly scholarship of Rs. 1,000 from class IX to Plus 2.
The school is preparing many more students to receive this assistance next year.
All facilities including CCTV cameras and RO drinking water facility are available, he said.
Corporation Commissioner Arpith Jain, school HM Sumitra, teachers Victor, Radha and others attended the program.
