A district-level quiz competition for school students was conducted at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore, on behalf of the Community Welfare Board. A total of 312 students from 156 schools participated and showcased their knowledge and skills.
The event was organized by the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Community Welfare Foundation — an alumni organization established in 1954 by former students of TNAU. The foundation has been conducting district-level quiz competitions for school students for the past 30 years.
Marking its 30th year, this year’s competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various districts. Of them, 24 students who excelled in different categories were selected and presented with prizes.
Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Vice-Chancellor (In-charge) and Registrar R. Tamil Vendan, and alumnus of the university and Deputy General Manager, Union Bank of India (Salem Zone) P.M. Senthil Kumar, participated in the event and distributed prizes to the winners.
The coordinators expressed their happiness over the successful conduct of the competition by the 71-year-old organization and extended their gratitude to Vice-Chancellor R. Tamil Vendan and other dignitaries for their support.
