Dr Sasi Kanta Dash takes charge as director of Kanchi Mamunivar Institute

Dr. Sasi Kanta Dash has assumed charge as Director of the Kanchi Mamunivar Government Institute for Postgraduate Studies and Research in Puducherry on February 20, 2026.
He was previously serving as Registrar of Puducherry University and was formally relieved before taking up the new assignment.
With over 28 years of experience in teaching and academic administration, Dr. Dash brings extensive expertise in higher education management.
He has earlier served as Principal of Tagore Government Arts and Science College, Bharathidasan Government College for Women in Puducherry and Arignar Anna Government Arts and Science College in Karaikal. During his tenure, the institutions recorded notable academic and administrative progress. Under his leadership, Tagore Government Arts and Science College secured an ‘A’ grade in NAAC accreditation. In 2024, the Government of Puducherry conferred on him the Best Administrator award in recognition of his administrative acumen and leadership.
His appointment is expected to further strengthen academic standards and research initiatives at the Kanchi Mamunivar Government Institute for Postgraduate Studies and Research.
