Parents and relatives attempting to help students cheat during the ongoing Higher Secondary examinations in Maharashtra were caught on drone surveillance at an exam centre in Chausala.
The English paper was under way when officials deployed a drone fitted with a camera to prevent malpractice. The aerial footage revealed several parents and relatives standing near compound walls and windows, allegedly trying to pass answer sheets and notes to students inside.
Some individuals were even seen attempting to climb through windows. As the drone camera approached, many people were captured fleeing the spot.
Officials said the examination centre premises were relatively open, making it easier for outsiders to access the building. Taking advantage of this, parents reportedly tried to assist students during the examination.
The Education Department has launched a detailed inquiry into the incident. Authorities said those identified in the drone footage would face strict action in accordance with examination rules.
The video of the incident has since gone viral on social media, sparking widespread debate over exam integrity and supervision.
