Amsavalli II MSW of Erode Arts and Science College (EASC) won the bronze medal in the 83 kg category of the All India Inter-University Powerlifting Championship and Madankumar II BA English won the bronze medal in the 81 kg category of the All India Youth Weightlifting Championship. In recognition of this, the Tamil Nadu Government has awarded the highest sports incentive of Rs.
1,50,000 to each student.
