ELGi equipments showcases demand match system for energy efficient operations

ELGi Equipments Limited (BSE: 522074 | NSE: ELGIEQUIP), one of the world’s leading air compressor manufacturers, on Monday showcased its Demand=Match System, an innovation aimed at improving the performance of fixed-speed compressors under fluctuating air demand across industries.
The Demand=Match System is integrated with the company’s EG and EQ Series air compressors and dynamically aligns compressor delivery to real-time plant requirements through intelligent internal airflow recirculation.
The company said the system delivers Variable Frequency Drive-like energy savings while retaining the simplicity and durability of fixed-speed machines.

He noted that the Demand=Match System automatically adjusts delivery to real-time demand, enabling customers to save energy, reduce mechanical wear and improve uptime without heavy capital investment.
In most industrial facilities, compressed air demand varies minute by minute and shift by shift depending on usage. Conventional fixed-speed compressors typically cycle between cut-in and cut-out pressure bands, leading to energy losses, pressure overshoots and frequent cycling that places stress on critical components.
The Demand=Match System is designed to address these inefficiencies by automatically adjusting compressor output to match plant demand. By intelligently recirculating airflow within the compressor, it maintains stable pressure and minimises unnecessary cycling even under fluctuating operating conditions.
The company stated that customers can achieve up to 17 per cent energy savings, along with improved reliability due to reduced mechanical stress and wear. Lower energy consumption also contributes to reduced carbon emissions.
The system is available as a factory-fit option on the EG and EQ series compressors. The EG series offers up to a 10-year airend warranty, while the EQ series provides up to a five-year
warranty.
