EPS alleges Law and order failure in TN

AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Monday alleged a deterioration in law and order in Tamil Nadu, claiming that 246 murders had taken place in the State within 75 days and that people were living in fear.
Participating in a protest held in KK Nagar, Chennai, organised by the National Democratic Alliance against the State government, Palaniswami criticised the DMK regime on multiple fronts, including price rise, crime and governance.
He alleged that prices of essential commodities such as milk, oil and electricity had increased, along with a rise in property tax, placing a heavy burden on the public. He also accused the government of mismanagement in the liquor sector, claiming large-scale revenue irregularities in TASMAC operations.
Raising concerns over public safety, he said women and children were increasingly vulnerable and accused the government of failing to curb drug trafficking. He further alleged that narcotic substances were being sold near educational institutions, affecting students.
Palaniswami also criticised the handling of criminal cases and said the State’s intelligence system had weakened.
Asserting that the DMK had failed to fulfil its electoral promises, he called for a change in government and urged voters to support the AIADMK alliance in the upcoming Assembly elections.
