Fight over chicken curry at wedding leaves 15 injured

A wedding feast in Nagina, located in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, descended into chaos when a dispute over the serving of chicken curry led to a violent clash between the bride’s and groom’s families.
The incident occurred at a marriage venue along the Nagina–Dhampur road, where members of the groom’s side reportedly received fewer pieces of fried chicken than they expected. Feeling insulted, they accused the hosts of disrespectful treatment.
The argument quickly escalated into a brawl, with both families exchanging blows and throwing chairs and utensils inside the wedding hall.
The joyous celebration soon turned into a scene of utter chaos, prompting organisers to call the police.
Police personnel from the Nagina station rushed to the spot and managed to bring the situation undercontrol.
The wedding proceedings resumed after the intervention.
At least 15 guests sustained injuries in the scuffle and were taken to a nearby government hospital for treatment.
Videos of the incident, showing guests fighting amid food and decorations, have since gone viral on social media, drawing widespread attention and humour
online.
Police said a case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to identify those responsible for the violence.
