Basic firefighting training was conducted for security personnel across Chengalpattu district under the guidance of Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services Director Seema Agarwal.
The training programme was held on February 10 at the Chengalpattu Fire Station under the leadership of District Fire Officer C. Lakshmi Narayanan.
Addressing the participants, he emphasised the importance of fire safety awareness and preparedness in workplaces.
Security guards employed in private industries, hospitals, apartments and commercial complexes were given practical demonstrations on handling fire safety equipment and responding effectively during emergencies.
Similar training sessions were organised at 11 fire stations across the district by respective station officers, benefiting a large number of security personnel.
At the end of the programme, District Fire Officer Lakshmi Narayanan distributed certificates of appreciation to all participants who completed the
training.
