Firefighters rescue dog trapped in plastic pot

A dog whose head got stuck inside a plastic pot was rescued after a prolonged struggle at Pakudi village near Iluppur in Pudukkottai district on
Sunday.
The dog belonged to a local resident, Ganesan. While attempting to drink water from a pot kept outside the house, the animal accidentally pushed its head inside and became trapped. Unable to free itself, the frightened dog ran around the area with the pot stuck on its head.
Ganesan, along with neighbours, tried unsuccessfully to remove the pot. They later informed the Iluppur Fire and Rescue Services.
Firefighters led by Station Officer Mahendran rushed to the spot and carefully removed the pot, rescuing the dog. The animal ran away unharmed soon after, bringing relief to local residents.
