Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik has announced a four-day special camp across the state to facilitate inclusion and correction of names in the electoral roll.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, she said that as per the directions of the Election Commission of India, the special revision of the electoral roll was conducted throughout Tamil Nadu and the draft electoral roll was published on December 19.
The period for filing claims and objections will remain open till January 18.
To assist eligible citizens during this period, special camps will be held at all polling stations on January 27 and 28, and February 3 and 4.
Citizens whose names do not appear in the draft electoral roll, as well as those who have completed 18 years of age, can apply for inclusion of their names by submitting Form 6 along with the required affidavit.
Voters seeking deletion of names or raising objections to proposed inclusions can submit Form 7.
Applications for change of address, correction of entries in the voter list, and changes to voter photo identity cards can be made using Form 8, the release said.
