EKKI Water Technologies and HOMA Pumpenfabrik GmbH have expanded their Indo-German collaboration with the launch of the LINUS Clog-Defense Sewage Pump Range and the next phase of growth of their joint venture, EKKI HOMA, focused on sewage pumping solutions for India and emerging markets.
The LINUS range is engineered to prevent clogging before it occurs—one of the most critical operational challenges in sewage systems.
The launch aligns with HOMA Group’s global expansion strategy, under which over USD 30 million has been committed to growth initiatives, including investments to strengthen manufacturing and product development within the Indian joint venture.
Kanishka Arumugam, Co-CEO, EKKI Group, said the venture represents a dedicated sewage pumping platform that combines EKKI’s application expertise and nationwide service network with HOMA’s global engineering leadership.
He noted that the collaboration aims to deliver purpose-built, reliable, and scalable solutions tailored to India’s infrastructure
needs.
Hans Hoffmann, CEO, HOMA Pumpenfabrik GmbH, said the partnership goes beyond introducing existing products, focusing instead on developing and manufacturing systems designed specifically for Indian operating and environmental conditions.
India faces a mounting sewage challenge, with over 70% of wastewater discharged untreated into water bodies. The LINUS pumps are designed for residential, commercial, industrial, OEM, and municipal applications, capable of handling heavy solids and fibrous waste while reducing downtime, energy consumption, and lifecycle costs.
The partners reaffirmed their shared ambition to build world-class sewage pumping solutions in India for global emerging markets.
