TNGEA appealed to the government to restore the old pension scheme without delay.
The union’s district executive meeting led by its district secretary S Vijayamanohar was held in its office at Erode on Friday. Union state general secretary Srinivasan, functionaries S Ramesh, R Sumathi, S Senthilnathan, Rakkimuthu, Gowrisankar, Gomathi, M Kannan, Saravanamani, Suresh, and Sasikala, attended.
Demands: Time-scale for ICDS, noonmeal staff etc, withdrawal of GOs 10, 56, 115 promoting outsourcing system, filling up of 6 lakh posts, fair wage for multipurpose health workers, constitution of Visakha committee to redress the grievances of women staff, entrusting morning breakfast scheme to noonmeal staff, hike in their pension and salary, holding of review meetings and video conference during working days and hours, government health insurance scheme and free treatment system, hill area and city compensatory allowance for road gang mazdoors working in hill areas of Nambiyur, Thalavadi and Andhiyur
blocks.
