High Court Bars Justice G.R. Swaminathan From Hearing Thiruparankundram Cases

A Division Bench of the Madras High Court has restrained Justice G.R. Swaminathan from hearing cases related to the Thiruparankundram issue and advised against using the court as a platform for political discourse.
The two-judge bench passed interim orders staying all directions issued by Justice G.R. Swaminathan in connection with the contempt of court proceedings linked to the Thiruparankundram Deepam matter.
The Bench also observed that all cases related to the issue should be heard comprehensively, indicating the need for a unified judicial approach.
The interim order has effectively halted further proceedings before the Single Judge in matters connected to the case, pending further consideration by the Division Bench.
