High Court orders case against Minister K N Nehru

The Madras High Court on Thursday directed the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption to register a case against Municipal Administration Minister K.N. Nehru and others over alleged irregularities in appointments and tender allocations.
The order was passed by a Division Bench comprising Chief Justice M.M. Srivastava and Justice G. Arul Murugan while hearing petitions filed by AIADMK MP Inbathurai and Adhinarayanan.
The court observed that sufficient material had been forwarded by the Enforcement Directorate and directed that a case be registered and investigated in accordance with law, without the need for a preliminary inquiry.
