Actor Ajith Kumar, who is currently participating in a car racing event in Barcelona, Spain, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support.
Speaking to a private media outlet, Ajith Kumar said he is preparing to take part in several championships in the coming year and is looking for like-minded people who value both sports and the Indian film industry. “There are many ways to promote cinema. I want to use motorsports as a platform,” he said.
Ajith pointed out the growing global appeal of cinema, citing the popularity of Korean films in India. “I want Indian films to enjoy the same international recognition. While Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bhojpuri films are already popular, I wish to see them reach even wider audiences,” he remarked.
Expressing gratitude to his fans, Ajith Kumar said, “I am very grateful to my fans. They go out of their way to watch my races. This has happened in Dubai, Spa-Francorchamps, and Nürburgring in Germany.” He also announced plans to promote Indian cinema with a special car logo carrying the words “Indian Cinema” in future race series.
Ajith further observed that India, with over 20 languages, is the largest film-producing nation in the world. “Entertainment and sports have always been integral to life. During the Covid-19 era, it was these that kept people fresh. I feel privileged to be part of cinema, and after 33 years in the industry, I owe it all to love and goodwill,” he said.
