ICAI Coimbatore Urges Students to Explore Future-Ready CA Profession

With Class XII public examination results expected to be announced shortly, the Coimbatore Branch of the Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has appealed to students and parents to consider Chartered Accountancy (CA) as one of the most promising and future-ready professional courses in the country.
Addressing the press, CA. Survajith S. Krishnan, Chairman, ICAI Coimbatore Branch, said the CA profession today offers vast opportunities not only in traditional accounting and auditing but also in emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Global Taxation, Financial Consulting, Insolvency, Sustainability Reporting and Start-up Advisory services.
“The profession has evolved tremendously over the years. Chartered Accountants today are not confined only to finance and audit, but are also playing key roles as business advisors, entrepreneurs, strategists and decision-makers across industries,” he said.
CA. Survajith S. Krishnan added that students who complete Class XII can directly pursue the CA course and build a highly respected career with global opportunities.
He highlighted that the course develops analytical thinking, discipline, communication skills, leadership qualities and professional
ethics.
The Chairman noted that the ICAI Coimbatore Branch has been actively conducting career awareness programmes, counselling sessions, mentorship initiatives and interactive guidance programmes for students and parents.
He also announced that the ICAI Convocation 2026 will be held at the All India level across 21 centres, with Coimbatore selected as one of the venues.
The event is scheduled for May 23, 2026, and will be led by CA. G. Ramaswamy, Past President of ICAI, along with other dignitaries.
“This is a proud and landmark moment for the Chartered Accountancy fraternity of Coimbatore,” he said.
The ICAI Coimbatore Branch will continue to intensify its outreach programmes across schools and colleges in Coimbatore and nearby districts to guide students towards the CA profession.
