Indian cricketers Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Axar Patel offered prayers at the Shri Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple in Mumbai ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup semi-final.
The players visited the famous temple and sought blessings as the Indian team prepares for the crucial knockout match against England scheduled to be held at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the first semi-final of the tournament will be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday, where South Africa will take on New Zealand.
India secured a place in the semi-finals after finishing second in Group 1 of the Super 8 stage. England topped Group 2 by winning all their three matches in the round.
The Indian team has been undergoing intensive training in Mumbai ahead of the high-stakes encounter. The visit to the temple by the three players comes as the team gears up for the decisive clash that will determine a place in the final of the tournament.
