INDIAN MAN SETS GUINNESS WORLD RECORD WITH 1,638 CREDIT CARDS

In an extraordinary display of financial discipline and strategy, Manish Tameja from India has earned a place in the Guinness World Records for owning the most credit cards in the world — 1,638. What makes his achievement remarkable is that despite managing such a massive collection, he carries no debt on any of them.

Manish, who set the record on April 30, 2021, has turned credit card usage into an art form. By tactically using each card’s features, he maximizes reward points, cashback offers, and travel benefits while avoiding interest payments. “I don’t think my life is complete without credit cards,” he said with pride. “I enjoy free travel, access to railway and airport lounges, spa and hotel vouchers, movie tickets, fuel, and more — all through milestone rewards and cashback schemes.”

He recalled how his financial savvy proved useful during the 2016 demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs1,000 notes. “I didn’t have to queue at ATMs for new notes. I managed all my expenses with credit cards,” he said.

Manish’s record-breaking achievement is more than a showcase of numbers — it’s a lesson in smart money management. His story proves that with financial discipline and knowledge, even tools designed for spending can become powerful instruments for saving and earning.
