A youth from Haryana who had gone to England for higher studies was brutally murdered in a knife attack, sending shock and grief across his hometown.
Vijay Kumar Sheoran (30), who earlier worked with the Central Board of Excise and Customs, resigned from his post and moved to the United Kingdom this year to pursue higher education.
According to reports, on November 25, Vijay was attacked with knives by unidentified assailants in the Worcester area of England. He was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries but died while undergoing treatment.
UK police have informed Vijay’s family about the incident and have arrested five suspects in connection with the murder.
An investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the attack.
Shocked family members have appealed to the Ministry of External Affairs and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini to take immediate steps to bring Vijay’s body back to India at the earliest.
The tragic death of the young student has sparked widespread concern among Indian families whose children are studying abroad.
