Yet another Indian has struck it lucky in a Gulf country lottery. P.V. Rajan, a native of Kerala currently working in Saudi Arabia, has won a massive jackpot of 25 million dirhams, equivalent to about Rs. 61.37 crore, in the Abu Dhabi Big Ticket lottery.
Rajan, who has been purchasing lottery tickets continuously for the past 15 years, finally tasted success with this grand
win.
Speaking after the result, he said that he would not keep the entire prize money for himself and plans to share it equally with his 15 colleagues, who had supported him over the years.
In the same draw, 10 others won consolation prizes of 10,000 dirhams each (around Rs. 2.45 lakh). Among these consolation prize winners, three were Indians.
It may be recalled that in the previous series of the same lottery, another Indian, Saravanan, had emerged as the winner.
The repeated success of Indians in Gulf lotteries has once again drawn wide attention.
