The Valavandankottai branch of Indian Overseas Bank began functioning from its new premises from Monday, aimed at offering improved facilities and convenience to the public and customers in the area.
The new bank premises were inaugurated by Mr.S. P. Babu, Trichy District President of the Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The newly established ATM centre at the premises was inaugurated by B. Wilson, owner of El Shaddai Engineering.
Earlier, Mrs.L. P. Vijayalakshmi, Branch Manager of the IOB Valavandankottai branch, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the services offered by the branch.
Addressing the event, Mr.G. Sriram, Trichy Regional General Manager of Indian Overseas Bank, stated that the Valavandankottai branch is fully equipped to provide all categories of banking services required by residents of the region. He added that special focus would be given to customer-friendly services and financial inclusion.
On the occasion of the inauguration, various banking services were extended to the public and the agricultural community, including loans for self-help groups and jewellery loans. A large number of residents and customers from Valavandankottai and nearby areas attended the function, marking the opening of the new premises as a significant development for local banking needs.
