IPS officer Mayilvaganan appointed special officer for mission olympic 2036

IPS officer Mayilvaganan has been appointed Special Officer for the Tamil Nadu government’s Mission Olympic 2036 programme.
India is actively pursuing its bid to host the 2036 Summer Olympics. Tamil Nadu has also set a target for athletes from the State to win at least 15 medals at the 2036 Olympics. As part of efforts to coordinate sports development and long-term planning in Tamil Nadu, Mayilvaganan has been appointed Special Officer for Mission Olympic 2036 and Joint Chief Executive Officer of the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu. The appointment is aimed at coordinating and monitoring the State’s preparations and sports development initiatives towards the 2036
Olympics.
