Juvenile gets bail in Dwarka scorpio crash death

A 17-year-old boy accused of causing a fatal road accident in Dwarka that claimed the life of a 23-year-old youth has been granted interim bail by a juvenile court, triggering public outrage.
The accident occurred on February 3 near Lal Bahadur Shastri College in Dwarka. According to Delhi Police, at around 11.57 a.m., a speeding Scorpio SUV rammed into a motorcycle ridden by Sahil Dhaneshra, who was travelling from the opposite direction. The vehicle also crashed into a taxi parked on the roadside.
Sahil died on the spot, while the taxi driver sustained injuries. Police said the Scorpio was being driven by a minor who did not possess a valid driving licence. His sister was also in the vehicle at the time. Preliminary inquiry indicated that the accident took place while the car was allegedly being driven at high speed and videos were being recorded.
The minor was apprehended and produced before the Juvenile Justice Board. The court granted him interim bail, citing his ongoing Class 10 board examinations.
Meanwhile, a video of Sahil’s mother breaking down in grief has surfaced on social media. In the video, she says she raised her son single-handedly for 23 years after losing her husband and pleads for justice, alleging that reckless driving led to his death.
The grant of bail has drawn criticism on social media, with many questioning the decision as the investigation continues.
