Kalasalingam University signs MoU with Sri Lankan Institute

Kalasalingam University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Institute in Development Research and Training (IIDRT), Sri Lanka, to strengthen international academic collaboration and promote communication exchange programmes.
The MoU was signed during the Communication Exposure and Capacity Building Programme-2026 organised by the Department of English and the Centre for ENGAGE at the university.
University Pro-Chancellor Dr. S. Arivazhagi and Vice-President Dr. S. Shasi Anand presided over the programme. Vice-Chancellor Dr. S. Narayanan and Registrar Dr. V. Vasudevan felicitated the gathering. Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Special Education Dr. V. Pandiarajan delivered the inaugural address, while Head of the Department of English and Centre Convenor Dr. B. R. Aravind welcomed the participants.
The agreement was signed by Dr. S. Shasi Anand on behalf of Kalasalingam University and by IIDRT Director D. A. W. Gunavardana, Programme Coordinator I. N. P. Perera and Director Upul Weerasinghe on behalf of the Sri Lankan institute.
Speaking after the signing ceremony, Dr. S. Shasi Anand said the MoU aims to enhance communication skills, professional competencies and international academic cooperation through knowledge exchange, training, research and institutional development initiatives.
