Karur school celebrates 100 achievers in Tamil proficiency test

A grand appreciation ceremony was held at Bharani Park Vidyalaya, Karur, on Wednesday to honour the 100 students who cleared the Tamil Nadu Government Tamil Proficiency Test 2025. With this, the school has achieved a remarkable milestone of producing 335 state-level achievers over the past four years.
According to the school administration, students who qualify for the state-level Tamil Language Literary Aptitude Test receive ₹36,000 each from the Tamil Nadu Government. Bharani Park Vidyalaya recorded 46 winners in 2022, 103 in 2023, 86 in 2024, and 100 in 2025, bringing the total prize amount received by students to ₹1,20,60,000, the highest so far.
The event was presided over by the school principal, S. Mohanarengan, in the presence of Secretary Padmavathy Mohanarengan and Trustee Subhashini Ashokshankar. The special guest, Mrs. P.K. Selvamani, Karur District Education Officer (Private Schools), congratulated all achievers and praised the dedication of the faculty members.
DEO Selvamani commended the school’s consistent achievements, remarking that Karur has earned recognition as the ‘Tamil Literary Capital of Tamil Nadu’ due to its sustained excellence in the Tamil proficiency examinations.
Faculty members, including Dr. S. Ramasubramanian, Principal Shekar, Principal Sudhadevi, and other teachers, were felicitated for their tireless efforts in preparing the students.
The school noted that the achievement was made possible through the rigorous training and motivation provided by the Tamil department. Tamil scholars, organisations and literary enthusiasts from across the world have also extended their wishes and appreciation to the school’s teaching team.
