A state-level kickboxing championship was held from the 7th to the 10th of this month at the SDAT Indoor Stadium in Theni district. Approximately 1,000 students from 24 districts participated in this event. From Karur district, 40 students—all of whom had previously won gold medals in the district-level competitions—participated and delivered an impressive performance, securing 4 gold, 8 silver, and 16 bronze medals. The victorious students were congratulated by Mr. M. Ravikumar, Secretary of the Karur District Amateur Kickboxing Association, and Vice President Rtn. M. Tamilselvan. It is noteworthy that E. Soubagya, a student from Sun Star School, and S. Tharanish, a student from Vennamalai Cheran School, are set to participate in the national-level championship scheduled to be held in Odisha at the end of this month.
