Kathir College Equips Students With Legal Roadmap For Startups

The Department of BBA (CA) and the Institution’s Innovation Council of Kathir College of Arts and Science organised a seminar titled “Start-up: Legal and Ethical Steps” to provide students with practical guidance on establishing compliant and sustainable ventures.
The programme, held at the college seminar hall, aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial awareness among aspiring student founders.
Dr. Cynthia Benedict J, Start-Up Coach and Project Manager (India) for the International Teachers Association for Health and Medical Sciences, delivered the keynote address. She explained key aspects of business structuring, early-stage intellectual property protection, vendor agreements and non-disclosure agreements.
Emphasising ethical responsibility, she noted that corporate governance, transparency and fair practices form the foundation of long-term business success.
The event was organised under the guidance of Principal Dr. R. Karpagam. Head of the BBA (CA) Department Dr. P. Saravanan coordinated the seminar, with Assistant Professor Sridevi overseeing the arrangements.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion, where students sought clarity on startup challenges and practical implementation strategies.
