KEC hosts 25th Kongu Trophy

The 25th edition of the South India Inter-Institution Invitation Tournament, Kongu Trophy, organised by Kongu Engineering College (KEC), concluded on September 12 after three days of
competition.
The tournament featured volleyball, basketball, kabaddi, badminton and table tennis in men’s and women’s categories. About 1,200 student-athletes representing 128 teams from 61 institutions participated.
Asian Games gold medallist and Income Tax Inspector B. Muruganantham was the chief guest at the valedictory function and distributed trophies and cash prizes totalling ₹5 lakh to the winning teams.KEC Correspondent E.R.K. Krishnan and Principal R. Parameshwaran attended the event. The tournament was organised by the Department of Physical Education.
