The KMCH Ram Nagar City Center, one of the major peripheral units of Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH), celebrated its 33rd anniversary at the KMCH Auditorium, Avanashi Road. The occasion also marked the 32nd anniversary of the Senior Citizens’ Health Club, established by KMCH in 1993 to promote health and wellness among the elderly.
Presiding over the event, Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami, Chairman and Managing Director, KMCH, welcomed the gathering and expressed appreciation for the continued support from senior citizens. He noted that the club was launched to help senior citizens maintain physical fitness and mental well-being through regular medical counselling, guidance on diet and exercise, and concessional healthcare facilities.
The Senior Citizens’ Health Club, which currently has over 400 active members aged between their 60s and 90s, provides a range of benefits such as free general consultation once a month, free ECG annually, and discounted medical services at KMCH Main Center.
Members are also supported through a dedicated help desk and WhatsApp group for health updates and communication.
The Ram Nagar City Center offers 24-hour consultation services, specialist clinics, master health check-ups, cathlab, TMT, ultrasound, X-ray, ECG, and laboratory facilities, along with free transportation to KMCH Main Hospital.
Dr. Kavidasan, Director, Roots Industries India Pvt. Ltd., and Secretary, Satchidananda Jothi Nikethan International School, attended as chief guest, while Dr. Harsha Singh, Consultant in Palliative Care, KMCH, delivered a special lecture on “Critical Life Care.”
Shri S. Hariharan, Organizer, Senior Citizens’ Health Club, presented the annual report, and Dr. Veena Kannan, Consultant ENT, KMCH City Center, proposed the vote of thanks.
