KMCH expands CSR footprint with new School building worth Rs 2.18 Crore

KMCH, a leading quaternary care hospital renowned for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, has constructed a new building for the Corporation Middle School at Veeriyampalayam, near Coimbatore. The project aims to strengthen educational infrastructure and create a better learning environment for students.
The new school building, built at a cost of ₹2.18 crore, includes seven classrooms and restroom facilities, designed to enhance the quality of education and provide a comfortable space for both teachers and students.
The new block was inaugurated on Monday, November 10, by Dr. Ganapathy P. Rajkumar, Member of Parliament, Coimbatore Constituency, who served as the Chief Guest. Mrs. Ranganayaki Ramachandran, Mayor, Coimbatore Corporation; Mr. M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran, IAS, Commissioner, Coimbatore Corporation; and Mr. R. Vetriselvan, Deputy Mayor, Coimbatore Corporation, were present as Guests of Honour. The event was held in the presence of Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami, Chairman and Managing Director, KMCH; Dr. Thavamani D. Palaniswami, Vice Chairman; and Dr. Arun N. Palaniswami, Executive Director, KMCH.
In his address, Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami highlighted KMCH’s continued commitment to education and community welfare, citing recent CSR initiatives including school buildings at Vadmadurai, Kalikanayakanpalayam, and Nallampatti, as well as a ₹1 crore contribution toward a world-class cricket stadium in Coimbatore district. Dr. Arun N. Palaniswami urged teachers and students to make the best use of the new facilities, emphasizing that prioritizing CSR funds for schools in underprivileged areas remains a key focus of KMCH. The initiative reaffirms KMCH’s mission to empower communities through education and social development.
