KPR College of Arts, Science and Research hosted its national-level school quiz competition Kelvi Kalam 2025 this afternoon with great enthusiasm at the college auditorium, bringing together young minds from across the region to celebrate knowledge, curiosity and teamwork.
The event was graced by Dr. K. P. Ramaswamy, whose presence added distinction to the occasion. Dr. P. Geetha, Principal, delivered the Presidential Address, emphasising perseverance, teamwork and the spirit of never giving up.
“Success consists of 10% luck, 20% teamwork and 70% the spirit of never giving up,” she said, urging students to approach competitions with determination.
Mrs. Gayathri Anandakrishnan, Secretary, felicitated the gathering and highlighted Albert Einstein’s remark on the value of a “passionately curious mind,” encouraging students to sustain curiosity beyond the classroom.
Quiz Master Dr. M. Rangarajan conducted the event with a series of challenging and insightful rounds that tested general knowledge, analytical ability and quick thinking.
PSBB Millennium School clinched the First Prize of ₹15,000 and also secured the Second Prize of ₹10,000, while Chinmaya International Residential School won the Third Prize of ₹6,000. KPRCAS also announced a meritorious scholarship for Class XII prize winners to pursue higher education at the institution.
A total of 932 students, forming 466 teams, participated in the competition, accompanied by 55 teachers from 51 schools. The programme concluded on an inspiring note, reaffirming KPRCAS’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development.
