Lambs Drink Cow’s Milk in Nilgiris Village

An unusual sight has surprised residents of the Nilgiris, where two lambs are growing up on cow’s milk instead of their mother’s.
The incident took place in Kadasholai village near Kotagiri, where farmer Nagaraj raises both goats and cows. Recently, one of his goats gave birth to two lambs. While the young ones initially fed on their mother’s milk, they soon began drinking directly from a cow kept in the same household.
To everyone’s amazement, the cow did not resist and allowed the lambs to nurse freely. Since then, the two lambs have continued to grow healthily on the cow’s milk.
Neighbours and passersby have been flocking to see the rare bond, often capturing the heartwarming sight on their phones. Villagers describe it as a “delightful and rare incident” and say it reflects the natural harmony between animals.
The unusual relationship has now become the talk of Kadasholai, with locals calling it one of the most charming sights in the hills.
