The Lamp Lighting Ceremony of Ganga College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences was held marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of 210 undergraduate nursing and allied healthcare students.
The ceremony was conducted in the presence of Chairman and Managing Director Kanakavalli Shanmuganathan and Trustees Dr. S. Raja Sabapathy, Nirmala Rajasabapathy, Dr. S. Rajasekaran and Rama Rajasekaran, along with parents and faculty members.
Delivering the welcome address, Dr. S. Raja Sabapathy, Director and Head of the Department of Hand, Plastic and Microsurgery, emphasised the noble responsibility entrusted to nurses.
Trustee Rama Rajasekaran highlighted the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and professional values in shaping future healthcare professionals.
Guest of Honour Jaya Menon, Nursing Head, Kauvery Hospitals, Tiruchirappalli, spoke on the dignity and compassion inherent in the nursing profession and encouraged students to uphold ethical standards in their service.
In a solemn moment, 210 students lit the ceremonial lamp and took the professional pledge, affirming their commitment to ethical practice, selfless care and dedicated service to humanity. Principal Dr. Jeba Kumari, the Vice-Principal, faculty members, parents and students were present on the occasion.
