Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who made the people of Coimbatore proud by inaugurating the Semmozhi Park yesterday, is participating in the celebrations that will make the people of Erode district proud today. As the main event, he inaugurated the hall with the statue of Maveeran Pollan at Jayarampuram, Modakkurichi and paid homage.
Pollan was the commander of the Theeran Chinnamalai army. Born in Nallamangapalayam, he served as a commander in the Theeran Chinnamalai army and the spy army in the 18th century. Pollan was shot dead by the soldiers of the British army, Colonel Harris, at Jayarampuram near the Odanilai Fort. The opening of a hall with a statue of the saint in his memory there is an event that brings pride to the Erode district.
Following that, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who visited the Chinnamalai Manimandapam and paid homage to the statue of Theeran, will unveil the statue of dairy former MP SK Paramasivan at the Aavin Dairy Complex in Chithodu this evening.
Paramasivan was born in Chinniyampalayam. He not only fought for the country’s independence, but also increased milk production with his tireless efforts, which led to the White Revolution in Tamil Nadu. That is why he is fondly called the Father of Dairying. The Chief Minister had already announced that his statue would be installed at the Erode Dairy Farm. As mentioned, unveiling the statue there is another event that will bring pride to this district.
This day, when the statues of freedom fighter Pollan and white revolution hero Paramasivam will be unveiled, will be engraved in golden letters in the history of Erode district. Let us honor and worship them with pride.
